Jobs

This feature is available in either the hila monitoring app (UI) or the vianctl command line interface (CLI).

CLI

Use the vianctl command line interface to manage jobs and job types.

Manage jobs

Get the list of jobs with the following command:

vianctl jobs list

Use vianctl jobs --help to see available options for getting status of a specific job, as well as creating and deleting jobs, and listing pods.

Manage job types

Get the list of job types with the following command:

vianctl jobtypes list

Use vianctl jobtypes --help to see available options to create, search, update, and delete.

UI

In the hila monitoring app, you can view active and archived jobs as well as view job types.

Manage jobs

1. Open the Jobs page with the Jobs menu in the left nav bar of hila.

2. Select Active, Archived, or Job Types from the buttons in the top-right corner of the page.

   • For Active jobs, you can view full details, view logs, or cancel an active job from the menu that opens when you click the three dots at the far right of a job row.

   • For Archived jobs, you can view full details when you click the three dots at the far right of a job row.

   • For Job Types, you can view full details, edit the job type, duplicate the job type, archive, or delete the job type when you click the three dots at the far right of a job row.

Manage job types

1. You can create a new job type by selecting Job Types and then clicking the Add Job Type button. This opens the Add Job Type page.

2. Fill in the form with information relevant to your job type, and click Add Job Type.
